Éva Pállinger studied medicine at Semmelweis University in Budapest, Hungary from 1980 to 1986. From 1991 to 1997, she led the Pathophysiological Research Group at the Public Health and Military Medical Research Institute of the Hungarian Army. In 1998, she worked as a technical consultant at Sigma-Aldrich Ltd in Hungary. She passed her specialist exam in Clinical Laboratory Testing in 1999. In 2006, she completed a doctoral thesis on the role of histamine in haematopoiesis at the Department of Genetics, Cell and Immunobiology at Semmelweis University. She has been a member of the Institute of Genetics, Cell and Immunobiology at Semmelweis University since 1999, serving as head of the Flow Cytometric Laboratory. She has been an associate professor since 2012.
Her interest in studying extracellular vesicles began in 2008. She has been a member of the Extracellular Vesicle Research Group, led by Professor Edit Buzás, since its establishment. Her scientific research focuses on the immunological aspects of pregnancy and assisted reproductive technologies. As part of a research collaboration with the Paediatric Centre at Semmelweis University, she is studying the stem cell content of human breast milk in order to explore its potential therapeutic applications.
Éva Pállinger has authored over 195 peer-reviewed publications in international journals and several contributions to scientific and medical textbooks.

Flow cytometry, cell sorting and magnetic cell separation methods; enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays (ELISA); and cell culturing.
